Mrs Lucy Kathurima
CEO and Co-Founder
Lucy Kathurima leads Shared Values Foundation with a deep conviction that leadership is a calling to serve. Inspired by her late father, Japhet Kiria, and co-founder Dr. Gabriel Minder, her journey reflects a lifelong desire to translate values into action. As CEO, Lucy anchors SVF’s work in purpose, compassion, and long-term thinking. She champions community-led development, ethical decision-making, and leadership that prioritizes people over position.
Gabriel G. Minder, PhD, The Late
Co-Founder
Gabriel G. Minder, PhD (Late) Co-Founder | Values Architect Dr. Gabriel G. Minder was a foundational voice behind the vision of Shared Values Foundation. A multilingual scholar trained at Cambridge University and the University of Zurich, and based in Geneva, Switzerland, he embodied the values of global citizenship, intellectual rigor, and humility in service. As a member of the Swiss Engineering Academy, Dr. Minder brought disciplined thinking and ethical leadership into development practice. His life and work affirmed SVF’s belief that technical excellence must be anchored in values, and that sustainable development is ultimately about people, dignity, and shared responsibility.

Patrick Mwitia
Member/Treasurer
Patrick Mwitia serves as Treasurer, offering strong corporate governance and operational discipline. As Area Service Manager and Regional Head of Customer Service at Bühler AG Switzerland (East Africa), he brings experience in financial oversight, service excellence, and regional operations. At SVF, Patrick embodies responsible stewardship—ensuring that resources entrusted to the Foundation are managed with integrity, transparency, and care.
Mercy Nderitu
Member/Finance
Mercy Nderitu is a finance and consulting professional dedicated to financial literacy and economic empowerment. As General Manager at PowerTalk, she supports individuals and organizations to make informed, values-aligned financial decisions. Her role at SVF strengthens financial governance while reinforcing the belief that economic sustainability is inseparable from ethical practice.

His affiliations with leading international orthodontic and health institutions reflect a commitment to excellence, ethics, and lifelong learning. At SVF, he supports governance and health projects with professionalism, compassion, and a values-driven approach to community health.
Betty Kiruki
Member/Resource Mobilisation
Betty Kiruki is a journalist and communications consultant who understands the power of storytelling in mobilizing resources and trust. At SVF, she helps translate impact into narratives that inspire partnership, transparency, and shared ownership of the mission.

Dr. Eunice Gatongi is a Paediatric Dentist at Kenyatta National Referral Hospital, committed to improving child health outcomes. Her contribution to SVF reflects a leadership philosophy rooted in care, dignity, and service—particularly for vulnerable children and families.
